About Freemasonry
Freemasonry is the world's oldest secular fraternal organisation, bringing together men of good character who share a commitment to moral development, mutual support, and making a positive difference in their communities.
Freemasonry is a fraternal organisation that has existed for centuries, teaching moral lessons through time-honoured ceremonies and symbols. We are men from all walks of life—doctors, teachers, business owners, tradesmen, and public servants—united by shared values and a commitment to personal growth.
Our meetings combine meaningful ritual with fellowship, education, and charitable work. Through our degrees and teachings, members develop leadership skills, form lasting friendships, and contribute to causes that make a real difference in their communities and beyond.
Freemasonry welcomes men of all backgrounds, professions, and beliefs, requiring only that candidates be of good character, believe in a Supreme Being, and come of their own free will seeking to better themselves and help others.

Our Four Key Values
These timeless principles guide everything we do as Freemasons, shaping our character and our service to others.
Charity
We believe in giving back to our communities through both financial support and personal service, helping those in need and supporting causes that make a real difference.
Friendship
Our brotherhood creates lasting bonds that transcend social, professional, and cultural boundaries, fostering genuine relationships based on mutual respect and understanding.
Integrity
We strive to be honest in our dealings, reliable in our commitments, and true to our principles, building trust through consistent moral behavior.
Respect
We treat all people with dignity and courtesy, valuing diversity of thought and background while maintaining civil discourse in all our interactions.
Women Can Join Freemasonry Too
We are proud to work alongside our female counterparts in separate but equally valuable Masonic organisations.
While traditional Freemasonry operates as a men's fraternal organisation, women can absolutely become Freemasons through two well-established female Grand Lodges in England. Female Freemasonry operates as sister organisations, sharing the same fundamental values of charity, friendship, integrity, and respect.
Female Freemasonry operates with the same principles, ceremonies, and charitable focus as male Freemasonry. These separate organisations work together toward common goals of personal development and community service.
